Suggestions anyone?

In light of our new predicament with the Backyard Tree, I'm accepting suggestions on how to raise money. Feel free to be as creative as possible. I will not tolerate this foliage freeloader frisking from furrowed pipes.

I'd offer a prize for the most creative suggestion, but you'll only end up with my undying gratitude. Hopefully, that counts for something.

Hoping not to be entangled by roots in my sleep,

ZEUS

You could sell pellets of cat litter that have your smell on them...
or a tree donation button from paypal on your site.

Yoo could do a paypal donation button. Mom flushes something call "root killer" every other month because we haf a tree dat haf it's roots in our main sewerage pipe. It's a city tree and dey won't do anything about it until it cracks da pipe. So mom bawt a power snake and ripded out da roots in da pipe and keeps dem from coming back wif da flushy stuff.

Mom and Dad have had their main sewer pipe cleared out twice by a plumber who does such work - the first time, the water backed all the way back up to the house from all the water from the washing machine, but they were able to clear it out, cutting the tree roots with a rotating cutting tool. The second time they had it done about 6 years later just as a preventative measure. is it possible that if somebody is telling you the pipe has to be replaced that maybe it doesn't, and a roto-rootering type of procedure would be sufficient?

I know my suggestion is not one for making mone, but this could sure save you some. Our most recent vist's charge was about $250.

Good luck!

We're definitely getting a third opinion at the moment, Simba. So far, a friend of ours who is a house contractor came by to take a look and agreed with the assessment, but since he's not a licensed plumber, he suggested another opinion on top of his own.

Maybe his opinion would be more like a half and not a true whole. I'll think about that. If that's true, then we're only up to two and a half opinions. Hmm...

Zippie, Sadie, and Speedy, we'd love to try your idea concerning the root killer, but we can't even flush the toilet to get anything down there. Otherwise, we'd be all over flushing root killer down the drain!

Chey, I don't think anyone wants to smell my poo. Hell, I don't even want to smell my own poo, and I make it fresh every day. Sigh...

Hi Zeus: I enjoy your blog. Sorry to hear about the problems. From what I've seen on the site the pet looks like she has some skills with photoshop. How about for a two dollar paypal donation people can send a picture and the pet can photoshop you into it? The pet sounds extremely busy and from the little I know about photoshop it can be time consuming. However, I don't think people would expect CIA quality altered photos. Just something they can smile at and know they've got a picture with one of the coolest cats on the web. Of course, this would depend on how many pictures the pet has to work from and how photogenic you are. Perhaps for a larger donation people could get a photoshoped picture with the reclusive Isis.

PS: Is cutting the tree down a viable option? Also haven't seen anything from Ares recently, what is his view on things?
