wait, now PETA is against pure-bred animals? sheesh. I think I will just go open a can of kitten of the sea and have some lunch.

Yeah--I think that Peta may confuse what the real issues are. I mean those dogs are often (though we realize not always) treated better than I am...oh wait--I think EVERYONE is being treated better than I am.

We don't understand what PETA is complaining about. We agree with Chey that those show dogs (and show cats, too) are treated better than some people treat their kids!

Awhile ago on NPR I heard about a movement to start using the words Canine-American and Feline- American.

PETA is hypocritical and those who support them don't know all the details. After a terrible incident here in Virginia a few years ago where they were dumping pets they "rescued" after inhumanely euthanizing them...I spread that message to all who mention PETA in a positive light.

Yes, mutts are wonderful, but so are purebreds. All creatures are wonderful....especially cats!
