Dear human pet,
Please do not let out one more pitiful sigh as you lay on the couch, staring with as much zest as a rotten lemon at Susan Boyle's interview with Meredith Viera . It is not your fault that you did not get accepted into the Ed.D. program. It is their fault for not having told you how they had...
A) Dissolved the program you had originally applied for or -
B) Forwarded your original application to a different program that -
C) Had different requirements than the one you had originally applied for.
Consider the fact that they were willing to let you earn the credits you needed and work on your doctorate at the same time as a gift of sorts. Think of how they have already approved your application for an entire year should you choose to pursue this path. Remember how they said they really did want you for their school.
If this doesn't make you happy, then look fondly at your application to Texas A&M, and execute it with vigor!
After all - there's only room in this house for one creature to be this self-pitying, and that's me.
Sorry, babe, but you lose.

Are you sure you want to go to that school if they don't have their act together?
Yeah. I don't think I'd be very impressed with THEM much less worry about what they think of ME. Of course I'm a cat. I never worry about what people think of me.
It's tough, getting your hopes up like that and then getting slapped in the face by the reality of a poorly-organized department. At least it's better to learn that kind of information very early in the process...
Ouch. We think your pet's day was much worse than Jan's. Do you think you might offer her a teeny bit of comfort?
Aw, dood...you gotta let the people have a day or two of self pity. It helps them deal. If they keep it up, then you get to lay the smack down on them. But for now, just purr hard.
I'm sorry it didn't work out. Tell the bean that they wouldn't want to work for that kind of organization anyway. It would have driven them nuts. Something better will come along.
At least A&M has a khanine fur one of its maskhots!
I'm sure your pet will do well after all your pep talks sink in!
Hugz&Khysses,
Khyra
That's awful! I agree with Derby!
we agree with Derby - if they doesn't haf their act together, they may not be the bestest place. Speshully if they gotted rid of the program you really wanted!
That's terrible! And totally unprofessional. They should have contacted you when the program changed, refunded your application fee and because they didn't, offered to reimburse you for your time which they wasted!
Don't mind me, I'm from NYC and we tend to go on a bit - but they're messed up.
I think Derby is right. If they don't have their act together then they don't deserve you.
I think you and Ares need to give your momma extra cuddles and kisses today!
oh, poor pet. :(
Oh gosh, they sound like a bunch of fools. But it looks like there are still options open to reach your goal so that's a "good thing" as Martha Stewart would say.
Yikes, this sounds like a bait and switch! I'd be feeling sorry for myself too, and a bit angry as well. Unless they are offering big assistantship $$$ to prove how much they want you, I think I'd say "no thank you!"
Good luck with TAMU. We know a lot of people who went there at one time or another because it's a land-grant school.
And Zeus, be nice to your pet - she deserves it!
Yeah, Zeus, buddy....I'm with everyone else. I don't think that school's elevator goes all the way to the top.
Yer pet is better off without 'em!
Well Zeus, one thing is clear: she is lucky to have you around!
Zeus, you need to go a little easy on your pet...just for a few days.
And my Mom said to tell her...everything happens for a reason...something better WILL come along.
That sounds like a load of mumbo-jumbo to me - bol!
Lots of Licks, Ruby
How disappointing is THAT?! Be extra sweet to your mom, Zeus, until the dust starts to settle and things become a little more clear. Like Ruby says, everything happens for a reason, but sometimes it takes a long time to see the reason.
WE are so sorry about your program! Don't give up. Take Zeus's advice and Move forward with vigor and a smile.
Sounds like someone messed up and it wasn't your pet human.
There are lots of positives in there which is cool, but I appreciate it wasn't what the human pet wanted. I am sure your tough love will work though Zeus :)
