Cupcake Pops For A Cure

Here in the house, I'm always looking for new ways to battle my number one Litter List offender, cancer. From local car washes, jeans at work, and Guitar Hero World Tour fundraisers, I've seen it all - from a distance. One tried and true staple, though, is the bake sale, and as all felines know, humans absolutely adore their sweet, sumptuous delights.

Well, as it just so happens, Bakerella has done it again by designing cupcake pops for a cure. If you're not familiar with how to make the pops, you can find the general directions here. She's also designed cake pops for a multitude of other occasions, but my personal favorite has to be her Hello Kitty pops, though to be honest, it slightly concerns me that I enjoy biting off warm, cakey kitten head goodness.

Mmm, yummy!

Cancer won't know what hit it when it gets popped by these cupcakes!

Good work, Bakerella, in helping fight cancer! I'll be sure to get started right away on baking some of those delicious pops...just as soon as I figure out how to do it without opposable thumbs.

Angel: It's definitely not me this time. Bakerella is the one doing the terrific work. Her blog is filled with great baking ideas, but this one is definitely awesome!

Meezers: I don't think so. After watching the show with the human pet, I'm glad not to be a part of that fiasco.

Oh man, I'm not a fan of that litter item either. I like new ways to help fight it too!

This is a great way to help fight cancer. We hate cancer, cancer sucks!
These pops look scrumptious, our mom is drooling. Cake is her favorite food ever!

don't worry about the cakey kitty head, its for a good cause. We don't use litter, but if we did it'd be on our list too. Maybe we dogs could have a "stepped in dog poop" list.

TC: I like the idea of these cake pops just for get-togethers. I think the human pet is organizing a cake pop party (with my permission, of course) in the near future. I'll be sure to document the festivities!

The Creek Cats: Our human pet loves cake too, though she might think about laying off it for a little bit. It might do her some good. ;)

PCP: Maybe dogs could have a Stop Sign list since every dog I know likes to pee at the stop sign by house. It's just a thought...

We are sure it is okay to bite off Hello Kitty's head as it is for such a good cause.

Nice website Zeus. Great name, too. I studied Classics at SPU and love anything Greek. So tell us, do you have a favorite Godess?

Sounds yummy! Cancer needs a good whapping...its an awful thing.

Eric and Flynn: I guess I won't feel bad then! ;)

Sharyn TG: I will answer your question in an upcoming post. Thank you so much for the compliments, and I look forward to learning more about you.

Fin: I aim to please. ;)

Lorenza: Thanks!

Tuck: I think the whapping comes from taking a bite out of those cake pops, but I suppose it would be more of a popping than an actual whapping. :)

Zeus, that's a very cool link. If we had a litter list the 'C' word would be on the top of ours too. The staff likes to find new ways to help fight it,we love your post.
