Love letter

Dear Purina One,

I know that it is hard for us to be together, my love, but do not fear: I will have you again. Yes, the human pet keeps you locked behind the pantry door at night, but your smell lingers through the kitchen, caressing me in its tender, chicken goodness. Oh, you delightful, wicked tease! Do you hear my tappings on the door? Do you see me rolling on my back for you, trying to but touch your blue bagginess of bliss? I'm practically a rabid animal over you!

My human pet can't keep us apart forever.

I love you,

oh Zeus, is your human pet starving you? we can come and help you free your blue love bag. (hmm somehow that sounds not quite right).

Spring must be in the air Zeus--all these love poems. It's a softer side, I must say.

Sad to say the bag will not return your affections. Best to "get over it" while you still have a semblance of self-control.

Or you could just continue to pine away; that's what I'd do.

Zeus, I believe you're exhibiting symptoms of "Kukka withdrawal". First the feather-butt, now a bag of food! Get ahold of yourself, or we'll have to do an intervention!

Oh no, Zeus is love-sick...with a bag of food.

Hmm...that happens to my foster Snowy who is perpetually obsessed with food.

I, too, have experienced such passionate love. If only the humans would leave the lid off the food bin -- just once -- I would consumate this relationship in the proper, belly-filling way.

Pooh bear loves that Purina One, too. The salmon flavor. He sneaks into the pantry to get it on the sly. Perhaps you, too, can learn to open doors?

Keep the positive attitude, Zeus, but let's get real here, too.

My Agent has been effectively keeping me from my treats for almost 8 years. Don't hold your breath that you and your chow will be together.

You'll turn blue like the blue bagginess and collapse.

I'm just sayin'...

Keep looking for your chances, Zeus. Try sneaking into the pantry when she opens the door. Try to figure out how to get the door open. Just enjoy what lands in your bowl.
