LACGAC Campaign

I've seen it done at other blogs.

I've often wondered why I have not done it myself.

I've spent enough time degrading myself emotionally and spiritually by not doing it.

Yes, it's time for.......

What is LACGAC exactly? Besides being an extremely helpful and concise acronym, LACGAC represents the following concept:

Leave a comment. Get a comment.

It's high time that I acknowledge all of the beautiful comments you readers leave behind every day. I've read each and every comment, but how would you ever know if I don't respond? From this moment on, I will now leave each of you a witty, playful, ever-so-gentle response.

Novel? No.

But remember the acronym you will!

Besides: I would be lying if I told you that a little birdie informed me that this was how you gained more readership.

So while it may seem like it's all about you, it isn't. I just thought I would be honest with you before the campaign started.

Why don't we get this campaign off to a fantastic start? Test the waters, and leave a comment now!

I'm the first to LAC. Fabulous!

Bone said...

LACGAC? Sounds like someone's got a hairball.

Parker said...

Hi Zeus! What a great idea - I look forward to seeing you at my home.

Zeus said...

Mia: Being first just adds to your fabulousness!

Bone: More like a duck stuck in my throat.

Parker: Ah, it took me a moment, but I see what you mean. I meant to reply here on the blog, but I most certainly will come by to check your home out! ;)

=^..^= said...

It's a great idea! We've really missed hearing from you on our blog. It'll be wonderful to have you 'back' again. :)

~5-Cat Style

PS. Oh, you meant on your blog. Well, do come by ours again anyway. We've missed you.

Zeus, we would leaf a comment no matter what!! you is our furriend

I can't remember which movie it's from but I'm reminded of the line (spoken with a lisp I think) "I've created a munstah!"

Wait, that'd almost have to be some kind of Frankenstein, wouldn't it?

Or possibly a cartoon. I really can't recall.

Most likely you'll understand exactly what I mean when you try to come up with a "response" - other than "Er..." - to a comment such as this one.

Although "Er..." or equiv. is fine by me.

NOLADawn said...

Zeusie, we love you even when you can't reply.

Aloysius said...

I don't always leave a comment, but I enjoy finding out what you are up to. I'll start leaving more comments now. I try to visit the blog of anyone who leaves me a comment and leave a comment in return; it would be great to have so many comments that I'd fall behind!

Cheysuli said...

What a wonderful idea. I love that photo in the towel though!

The Crew said...

Zeus, you're one of our daily "must read" blogs and we don't care if you leave comments or not 'cause we know your Pet has been incredibly busy lately.

We think to get more comments you must go out visiting more, then they'll come back to check you out, and hopefully like what they see! Do you have time to increase your daily readings?

Carmen said...

I'll leave you a comment anyway, cuz we at Gone to Plaid luv ya!

Munchkin, Missy and Monte said...

We understand that sometimes kitties get busy wif fings and can't always leaf messges. We can't always leave messges, but we do care about each and effery kitties we read bout.
Oh I love the comment verification, it says myvbf: my very best friend. Hehe.

Zeus said...

Five cat: I know, I know. I've been a really bad blogosphere citizen lately, but I promise to go visiting more often!

Meezers: You're my friend too! I have warm and fuzzy feelings now...wait, maybe I should stop bathing myself.

RJ: Please, please. Of course I understand what you're talking about! And yes, you most certainly did create a monster with me. It must be the nuclear waste...

Nola: Thank you much! I love your new profile picture by the way! ;)

Aloysius: It would be fantastic to have a lot of comments, but I really feel it's just nice to let the readers know I appreciate them coming by. I really like this idea, and I hope I can stay with it.

Cheysuli: I think I got the photo from or Not sure which...

Crew: You're so right about visiting the different blogs. It's just really tough right now with the computer schedule. I wish my human pet would realize it's not all about her.

Carmen: I love you too! Purrrrrr!

Munchkin, Missy, and Monte: Myvbf...a very telling sign I think! If only it had read "bff" - that would have been too cool!

Mert said...

Don't feel bad, I am bad about commenting on comments too. Lacgac... I think my cat made that noise last night. Hair ball.;)

Zeus said...

Mert: Actually the inspiration for this campaign occured right in the middle of a nasty cough-up! How did you know? ;)

The Tower Hill Mob said...

LACGAC? Sounds like an EU committee on preservation of traditional west Sicilian medicinal folkways or something equally sonorous.
Love the blog- Zeus is one handsome kitty!- you don't need to comment as I don't blog much anymore. Love to visit, though!

Sparky Duck said...

ive been MIA recently I dont know how I survived without the Zeus fix

Derby said...

Hey Zeus, we always stop by to check out what is happening. Just so many blogs we don't have time to type a comment on all of them.

Hope the human pet is doing OK.

Cos said...

Hey Zeus, I'd love for you to visit my blog too!

The Meezers said...

Hey Zeus, I'm happy to know I'm not the only one who gets a warm fuzzy from bathing. Now i'm not so embarassed. Fanks! - Miles

DK & The Fluffies said...

Hey Mr. Z - hope all is well.

Zippy, Sadie and Speedy said...

We know you're slave has been hogging the computer lately. Even without LACGAC we would still visit. Truth be told Sadie has been working up the nerve to tell you she finds you attractive, eh, who are we kidding. She's a born flirt and has no problem saying hubba hubba.

Zeus said...

Tower Hill Mob: Considering my pet is Italian, I would not be surprised if it were as you said. ;) It's always great to see you about.

Sparky: I don't know how I live without me either. I probably wouldn't...hmm

Derby: Don't feel bad! This wasn't meant to make kitties or people feel guilty. Rather, it's my way of keeping in touch with everyone. I'm glad you came by today, and the human pet is still a pita.

Cos: Leave your blog address, and I'll stop by when I can!

Meezers: Baths that finish too early make me sad. :(

DK: Yes, everything is good, good. Hopefully, in the next few weeks, I'll have more time on the computer so I can be extra-super-fly online!

ZSS: *blush* Why thank you! I think she might be attracted to me for my whisker humps, but I can only truly hope she sees the real me.

Ayatollah Mugsy said...

As you wish, Zeus. And I am pleased to see that you were modest with your towel placement. So many feline blogs aim to titilate nowadays ...

The Meezer Gang said...

We definately live by this rule, but we didn't know there was a name for it!!!

David E. Francis said...

Zeus, I'm normally a lurker on this, and many other, kitty blogs. I usually don't have much to say or anything that will contribute to the subject at hand. I do enjoy your blog, along with the others kitties'.

Take care my friend,

Kukka-Maria said...

I am leaving a no-strings-attached comment. In fact, if you comment back on my site, I will put a hex on you and your people.

Test me...

Millie said...

Hiya Zeus. I've never seen a cat stoop to the towel tricks you showed in this blog, but I've seen my Mom do both at the same time.

Zeus said...

Mugsy: I know sex sells, but I would never reduce myself to such shameful antics. You have taught me better than that with your ministry.

Meezer gang: Truthfully...and don't share this with anyone: I made it up!

David: Thanks for coming by! Nothing wrong with being a lurker! :)

Kukka: Maybe I should just comment to you here because I don't like the hex. Hexes are bad to say the least. I'm still getting over the last one you put on me...the hex known as love!

Millie: Nothing wrong with showing a little fur every once in awhile! ;)

Radioactive Jam said...

Probably I should have written that as you've created a monster, because I wasn't talking about anything I've done. And that's not just my usual pathological need for denial either. I was referring to the monstrously huge yet doubtless fun task of responding to all comments.
