Thursday Thirteen Edition #6

Thirteen Ways To Know Football Season Has Arrived at The House!

1. Isis and I become cheerleaders thanks to our black and gold fur.
2. Red, orange, green, blue, purple, and even brown are all banned from The House until March.
3. Instead of attending Sunday mass at noon, the human pet wakes up especially early for the seven o'clock mass so she can be home in time for kick-off.
4. There's an increase in spaghetti products stockpiled in the pantry.
5. Tostitos, salsa, and queso become a standard desert.
6. Sailors even blush at the blue streak issued from the human pet's lips.
7. People who do not want to watch, cheer, or support the Steelers are asked to leave.
8. The hours of noon to four o'clock on Sunday become an aerobic exercise in standing up and sitting down.
9. There is no taking the name of Roethlisberger in vain.
10. Every month, the human pet curses her DirecTV bill, but writes it off as "a worthy cause".
11. Attire for Sundays must be: Steeler hat, Steeler shirt, Steeler pants, Steeler socks, Steeler shoes...and of course, Steeler boxers.
12. Between September and March, the human pet gains seasonal telepathic abilities with the Steeler coaches as they communicate via the television.
13. There's no messing with Bill Cowher's chin whatsoever!

You aren't die hard Steeler fans, are you? I couldn't really tell. :) hee hee...
That is some serious stuff. Did you have a stroke when they won the Super Bowl or what? That's awesome!!! Here's to a great football season!

does she not have a Terrible Towel? and just WHO is wearing the boxers?
When mommy lived in Philadelphia she used to go to "last chance Catholic Mass" at 6pm, along with all of the other Eagles fans.

Great list! Happy TT!

I think this borders on obsession Zeus, and you may need to look into getting professional help for your pet! I've heard about similar things happening in Whisk-onsin with (whispers) Packers fans.

Luckily nothing like that happens in our house!

Zeus, Mommy thought that efurryone who was borned in Pittsburgh got a Terrible Towel at birf. She and Daddy went to PITT for kollege. That prolly 'splains a lot about them.

LOL! Too funny! My Brother in Law is a huge Steelers fan, though not quite as die-hard as your human I don't think!

We are a Steeler house too, my hubby grew up in the Pittsburgh area. Although my favorite team is the Panthers (don't throw things at me)! Enjoyed your list...

sounds a bit like World Cup season here...good thing it's only every 4 years or I would have to get mad at DH.

Fortunately, my human does not get all excited about sports. It sounds tiring.. By the way Zeus, you made #1 on my Thursday 13

Tostitos, salsa, and queso make football season not such a bad time of the year.

Thanks for the visit today!

Ha! Great list! Very entertaining! Go COLTS! Er, I mean Go STEELERS! ;)

Happy T13! My list's up, too!

Zeus, Steelers have nothing to do with Cats. You need to be a Panthers fan like Me.

I'm sensing a Steelers fan in the blogosphere :)

I love football and we're sooo ready for football season. Bring it on!

My brother in law is a big Steelers fan, too. It sounds like you're describing his home!

I can understand how using the phone might be a problem for you...have you asked your human pet for a speaker phone? I know it makes it sound like you're talking into a can...but less neck strain for a kitty.

Happy Thursday.
Thanks for stopping by.

Ummm in number two, why don't you likek these colors? What is wrong with red, orange, green, blue, purple and brown?

Mum likes football, but the way the local team is going it is going to be a looooong season. 'Dem Packers probably won't be doing furry well.

We're jealous Zeus and Isis! We both have blonde hair and are not multicolored, so we can't be cheerleaders. Hmmm...maybe we could look into being a mascot!

(from Pretty Kitty & Tai on behalf of our bean...)

So our bean feels the same way/exhibits the same ridiculous behaviour about something called the Patriots...
