My plan has worked

Have you ever noticed that when someone underestimates you, it opens the door for you to do whatever you want? That's the situation here, and I don't mind giving you the inside scoop (no pun intended!) now that my plan has come to full fruition.

Everything I do is because of Zeus. If it is something that he doesn't do, then I will do it. So far, this strategy has paid off! For example, Zeus doesn't always meet the Mama when she comes home from work, but I do. Zeus always bugs the Mama to feed him, but I won't. Zeus complains when the Mama shuts the door to the bedroom for the night, especially if he is inside as he doesn't like being confined to one spot, but I don't. The Mama really likes that point about me!

Well, as it would turn out, Zeus had been incredibly pouty these past few days because the Mama was busy doing her the Mama things. He always thinks it's about him so I just kept doing what I had been doing: leaving the Mama alone, snuggling with the Mama in the bed at night, cuddling with the Mama if she watched television, etc. Zeus was more aloof than normal since he felt put out by the Mama doing her the Mama things, but look what it got him?

A temper tantrum, and the Mama upset at him. I really think I should have all the glory here as I could not have planned this better had I actually tried!

Sure, I did go out of my way a little bit. When the Mama believed that Zeus hadn't tried to say hello to her, that was all me. I closed the door to the garage so Zeus couldn't get out. At least he had the litter box. I mean, he should have thanked me.

The icing on the cake had to be when I didn't even blink when he destroyed my new Cat Charmer. I just sat there, watched him, and shrugged it off. Granted, that took a lot of willpower since I had just received that toy two or three days ago, but it was worth it in the end to keep my mouth shut.

I'm completely awesome, and I know it. I don't need to show it like some felines in this house.

Payback's a cur! (No offense to any curs out there!)

Hopefully, I can sneak on again soon!

Way to go Isis. You gotta exploit the situation to keep on the mom's side.

When people say that cats are sneaky -- if I may say so, speaking as a decent upstanding ginger tom and a Cat of Peace -- what they're really talking about are lady cats!
