Thursday Thirteen, Edition 18

With my human pet accompanying me, I toured the town to find the most interesting selection of Christmas lights for my Thursday Thirteen. It is up to you, dear reader, to select one as the best and one as the worst. Make sure to post as such in the comments! Without further adieu, I bring you:

Zeus' Thirteen Lights of Christmas

1. Thoughtful, sensible, and at times, classy:

2. Mixing your whites and your colors:

3. How many items can fit on your front lawn:

4. Clearly, a lot according to House #4:

5. Not sure what the color scheme is here:

6. Christmas cows or Christmas pigs? You decide:

7. Welcome to Candy Land:

8. Nascar Santa:

9. Proof that Santa does land on your roof:

10. Simple and clean:

11. Sometimes, Santa doesn't use a sleigh. He uses a plane:

12. A vast array of color for the eye:

13. This Christmas tree is over 40 feet tall:

Some of those are quite funny! What an interesting selection of Christmas lights in your town! 10 would have to be the best and 6 the worst (what ARE those?!?)

Happy T13. :)

Nascar santa? Christmas cows? Your neighborhood scares me. ;) Great idea for a 13 though. Zeus, you weren't driving without a license were you?

I vote for #4. roof top decor.

Very inspiring! I like the Proof one and Nascar. I took a photo yesterday of a similiar Nascar Santa display.

Did you click the link to "truthiness?" It comes from comedian Stephen Colbert. I agree, I don't think I'd used the word in a school paper.

That's a great, great list. I love it.

Happy TT!

Oh, lots of pretty lights! I'd like to play with all of them. :) #6 worries me - they might be Vishus!

we fink Number 4 is horrible, and number 10 is nice and classy.

Ha ha ha, too funny!! We need to go Christmas light looking yet, so much fun. They did a HUGE light display in a community park here with snow and everything, so we got spoiled.

Wow. I don't know if I'm more impressed with the photos, with the fact you were invited to go on a road trip by your selfish Human Pet, or that Blogger allowed you to post so many pictures!

Its a tie between 3 & 6. I am not a fan of mixing the colors outside

Great display of festive lights - but not cats? Haven't they ever heard of Santy Claws?

I like number 10--simple and clean. That's the way I like my Christmas decorations!

(The NASCAR Santa has to go!)

I really liked six, but #10 just wasn't on the top of my list, here.

Great list, Zeus! Can't decide. Haf you heard bout the ones where the lights are aminated to music? There's at least 2 in Iowa. Near us, there's a house wif every panel of the siding outlined AND an argyle diamond pattern on the roof. Too much, too much!

I don't think those were Christmas cows, I think they were Christmas lungfish. Or maybe mudskippers. Or maybe just something evolving out of the sea onto land.

We like #10 & 12. Some of them are just too busy. Although the Christmas cows or pigs or whatever one is interesting... -Scooby , Shaggy & Scout

clearly the photos aren't as lovely as in person. But your "how many items can you fit in the yard" pictures are not nearly as full as my Mom's place! She has a shed that is just for the Christmas decorations (outside decorations). The sad part is that she lives on a street that no one will drive on because they can't tell it's there.

I like #9 the best and #11 the least :)

I'd have to go with the Candy Land one since it's one of my favorite games!

Anonymous said...

we like the candy (#7) best and we're rather scared of (#4) - not fond of Nascar Santa either

We thinks lot and lots of stuff is best, wo we vote for #4!

Me and mom agree 10 is the best and 6 the worst.

Nascar Santa, hm? Did you come down here to Georgia to take those pictures? :P

I am impressed with your skills as a photographer, having no opposable thumbs and all. They are quite nice! That once house...those people must be related to the Griswalds.

Oh, good call on the Candy Land one! Now I wanna play.

I love looking at Christmas lights.

My favorite is #2, but I don't know why!

I think 10 might be the best. I don't know about the worst but I will admit I don't like santas that much, I mostly just like the lights.

(Sorry I was so late!)
