can you make her wear one of those suits that the people who handle hazardous materials wear? maybe that would help. Or make her brush her whole body efurry day to get the dander out.
Zeus, what will you do? Who will open the door and feed you your meals and clean your litter box? Maybe they have kitty Claritin so those allergens won't bother you so much.
What a bummer! I know you're attached to her, Zeus, but think of your health. You are just going to have to take her to one of those "rescue" places and hope she finds another home even though she's not a kitten any more. She doen't have too many bad habits, does she? Either that or maybe you can get a shot every once and awhile? -- Alberta, Sky, Blackie and Charlie
I had a cat that had asthma, but when she moved to live with my parents on the farm, it got better. I thought it was just the good country air, but maybe it was me? :-(

Wow, Zeus, hope you don't have to get rid of her. Maybe you can bath her in something to neutralize the allergens?

we'll have to get you an inhaler. :)
Uh oh, I'm an Oriental and Latte is a Siamese. We must be really allergic to our human pet!
I've heard asthmatic cats use an inhaler (as Carmen suggested). I think they use something called a "BONG" to administer it.
Careful...
Wow that article was very interesting.Lucky mommy does'nt allow smoking in the house.
Hmmm ... very interesting! One of my kitties has asthma and needs a puffer every day. But we don't smoke, etc.
Oh no, you may have to exchange human pet for another one. Where do you go to get a new human pet?

That sure does explain a lot of things! Who knew? Thanks for putting the word out on this, Zeus.
On a side note, Homer has gone to the Rainbow Bridge and his Daddy Bean is very sad. homercat.blogspot.com
Can you help spread the word? I'm sure his Daddy could use purrs and headbuts.
So you do need that hypoallergenic human.
you could keep her in the yard. some of those Tuffsheds at Home Depot are weather-resistant and fairly roomy.
And humans like to put the blame on poor little kitties when they are walking, ticking allergen bombs themselves!!
