Are you a'gettin' it?

The human pet has been acting strangely since the day began. She has been coming up to me, rubbing my face, and saying in a roughly, deep voice:

"Are you a'gettin' it? Yes, I'm a'gettin' it. Really a'gettin' it? Yes, I'm a'gettin' it. C'mon, Steve!"

Who is Steve? What are we getting? Why does she feel the need to keep telling me she got it?

And then to make it all worse, I found these sitting in the kitchen:

So now, some leopard who is deaf needs my human pet's assistance in communicating apparently while taking his own journey. I guess she will be interpreting for the big cat. I wonder how well the leopard signs when he has no opposable thumbs...

Goodness, now she's belting out that she wants me to pour some sugar on her. What is going on with her? Since when are we allowed to pour sugar all over the place? Someone tell me what is going on!

Oh yes, I do hear that loud music can make one sort of deaf. I wonder why the leopard was listening? Cats don't usually like loud music.

ok, this is too weird - our Lady and her oldest girl, the Allergic One, are going to go help that same leopard with the hearing problem on his journey, but there's more! it seems they're also going to be joined by some guy named Billy, whom it seems effurrybody Idolizes, though I don't know why. we've seen pictures on the Allergic Girl's wall and he's got a nasty scowl and looks scary. speaking of scary, there are also gonna be some Femmes, who are Violent, apparently. on a more positive note, the Tricks are Cheap - but we're not sure what that means. we just read it on the little papers that look like the ones in your picture

Beanmom has told me to write "Woohoo!!" and "Yeah, baby!" She has started warbling again. The same thing your Lady Pet was talking about.

Awww...that poor leopard. I'm so glad your human pet is going to be about to help him communicate.

Zeus, your momma is singing those songs because they're classics from way before you were born. (a LONG time ago, in the 80s!) :) I had some friends go to that same concert when it came through our neck of the woods, and it made them feel bad, because the singers looked old. :)

And Steve is one of the old guys. :)

I think you'll have to help your mommy when she gets back...she'll be a little deaf too, heeheehee... ^0^

I asked my owner about this though and those are all called rock bands from way back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, back in the 1980s!

The Mom LOVES Def Leppard. She says she saw them five times in concert. Personally I just think it's loud noise, but most of the stuff she calls "music" is just that: loud noise. Though I will admit I'm partial to Mozart.

Zeus - now our Mom is singing too! she even dug out CDs with lots of noise on them.

You've got to be F-F-F-F-FOOLIN ah F-F-F-F-FOOLIN!

You know, Def Leppard wrote a song about me! "It's hysteria, when you're near..." Def Leppard hearts Kukka. Kukka is pretty fond of them, too.

Singing those songs makes me think of what it was like to be in high school in the late eighties. I mean would have been like! Because I'm a cat. And not that old.

You better be careful 'bout throwin' sugar around your house. First thing y'know, you'll have bugs everywhere!

Oh wait. Mom says you're not talkin' about that kind of sugar! Well, what other kind is there?

Zeus, you are too cute! Lol! Some friends went to their concert here in VA just a few weeks ago as well. I guess you understand now that it isn't a real deaf leopard!
